5783 Honeycomb Calendar
5783 Honeycomb Calendar
12” x 18” print hand carved and printed on a vintage Vandercook proofing press, fall 2022.
The 5783 Honeycomb Calendar was drawn and hand carved on one linoleum block and printed twice. The calendar text was designed on Adobe Illustrator and digitally laser cut.
Image depicts the Jewish calendar year 5783 (Greg. year 2022-2023) against a backdrop of dripping honey in deep orange, with honeycomb, willow and pomegranates layered in a fade from magenta to purple.
The calendar includes:
Transliterated Hebrew months and dates
Correlating Gregorian months and dates
New moons and full moons
Each print in the edition of 50 is signed, titled, and numbered.
Access note: the numbers and text are small, and are white against an orange background. The background shade varies slightly in each print, so this may be hard to read for some.
5% of proceeds will go to revitalizing olive groves in Palestine and 5% to land rematriation in the Northeast.
